How It Works
These are our collective agreements. Dancing with us means agreeing to them.
We create this space together through:
Awareness
of others and of ourselves
Permission
from others and from ourselves
Participation
through movement and presence
We practice healthy community by:
Arriving on time for the opening circle
Dancing in bare feet, socks, or shoes kept for dancing
Keeping the floor nonverbal, including the last 15 minutes of warm-up
Coming with clean clothes and a clear body and mind. No alcohol, no drugs, no strong scents
Leaving phones and devices off the dance floor
Honoring boundaries and practicing consent
Holding spatial awareness for the people around you
Showing up as a participant rather than a performer or a spectator
Respecting the venue and leaving it better than we found it
Leaving pets at home
